IT IS TIME:

To say that several of my family members “IMBIBED”, due to being war refugees and marriage issues.

One individual, my mother, imbibed excessively for about twenty-five years.

THIS SITE IS NOT A PERFECT CREATION.

It is a memoir of sorts, a passing on of personal experiences and reflections and much, much more.

My mother “escaped” the clutches of alcohol, eventually.

Without a single meeting of AA.

I will be discussing my own views on AA, Bill Wilson, Dr. Robert Smith, and much, much more. As well as The Big Book.

I have attended five different AA meetings in five different locations, written two books on the topic, and visited my mother in many a hospital where she had recovered from broken bones after falling while “tipsy”.

My ideas are strongly influenced by psychoanalysis, meditation, and nature, as well as the theory of words, and complexity theory and operations research. This is why my views diverge from those of AA in certain explainable ways.

For instance, I found this gentleman very useful, in my growth, in the past. You will not find these ideas in AA meetings.

I found my time in psychoanalysis to be helpful. This gentleman was very helpful in my theoretical growth, years ago.

YOU WILL NOT FIND THIS TYPE OF APPROACH AT AA.

My mother is a war refugee. As such, it was a Jewish psychoanalyst in La Jolla, California who understood my struggles the best, when I lived in San Diego in the 1980s. We met six days a week.

I do not see perfection in any approach. Still…

You will find none of these ideas in AA…

You also are not going to find anyone at AA who has excellent skills in Mathematics and aspects of complexity, as I suggest I have far more of an approximation of, than anyone who has ever worked in AA.
